They are trying to destroy us!!!

It is breaking my heart! People don't know! Please know I work HARD at staying positive and not promoting fear. I want you to see the GOOD in this world and what we can do to CHANGE things!!! I also need to share when things go crazy. If I don't tell you and something happens,

I don't want to be guilty of keeping my mouth shut. Please know that reading the rest may make you uncomfortable and anxious, but we can do something about it! You can make changes for yourself and your kids!

I am preparing for our upcoming Hormone Health Summit in November and have been researching for my sessions, refreshing myself, and ensuring my details are current. I am always shocked when I look at endocrine disruptors and the sheer volume of additives and toxins they are legally allowed to add to our food, skincare, soil, and water—JUST EVERYTHING!!! It makes me angry that so many toxins are being introduced and changing the health of our kids and future generations!! We must do something!!!

In case you don't know, endocrine disruptors (EDCs) are chemicals (toxins) that interfere with the body's hormones and endocrine system. They can be found in many everyday products, including cosmetics, food and beverage packaging, toys, carpets, pesticides, and flame retardants. Don't be confused by foods & herbs that naturally balance our hormones. That will be another post.

EDCs can be encountered through air, diet, skin, and water. Some common EDCs include:

Triclosan: Yes, triclosan is still used in some products today, but its use has been restricted in recent years. In 2017, the FDA banned triclosan in consumer antibacterial soaps and body washes. Even after the ban, it is still used in cosmetics, toothpaste, household products, building materials, and hand sanitizers, particularly in healthcare settings.

  • Phthalates: These are used in plastics to make them more pliable. Phthalates can trigger cell death in testicular cells and have been linked to hormone changes and birth defects.  They can enter the body through food and personal care products and inhibit androgens. They affect males more than females.

  • Atrazine and glyphosate are Herbicides used to control weeds and are sprayed on everything we eat that is not organic. Atrazine can alter male reproductive tissues, including testicular size, sperm production, and androgen production. It can also cause "feminization" of male gonads, which can sometimes lead to sex reversal in genetic males. Glyphosate exposure during developmental periods or adulthood can reduce male fertility by reducing sperm quality and count.

Glyphosate can mimic the effects of estrogen, promoting estrogen receptor α (ERα) phosphorylation, degradation, and transcriptional activity. This can lead to changes in breast cancer cell proliferation. Glyphosate can alter ovarian and uterine functions, as well as the development of ovarian follicles and the uterus. Glyphosate can cause endometrial hyperplasia, which can lead to reproductive anomalies like infertility and early pregnancy loss. Atrazine increases the activity of aromatase, an enzyme that converts testosterone and other hormones into estrogen. Atrazine has a lot of adverse effects on health, such as tumors, breast, ovarian, and uterine cancers, as well as leukemia and lymphoma. It is an endocrine-disrupting chemical that interrupts regular hormone function and causes birth defects and reproductive tumors in amphibians as well as humans.

  • Bisphenol A (BPA): Used in manufacturing, food packaging, toys, and other applications. It can interfere with hormones, impact immune systems, and promote certain cancers. It can be absorbed through skin contact. BPA has been banned from the food industry in some countries, but not the USA.

  • Titanium dioxide: Genotoxicity, potential immunotoxicity, and neurotoxicity!! Exposure to titanium dioxide nanoparticles can significantly decrease testosterone and progesterone levels. Exposure to titanium dioxide can increase levels of T3 and T4 thyroid hormones. Exposure to titanium dioxide can alter follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). Titanium dioxide can significantly decrease progesterone (P) and testosterone (T) serum levels and increase estradiol concentration.

Friends, I could literally go on and on for days!!! Over 2,500 chemicals are intentionally added to food to change its flavor, color, texture, stability, or cost. These additives can be synthetic or occur naturally. Around 12,000 substances may unintentionally enter the food supply, including pesticide residues, components of food packaging, processing aids, and drugs given to animals.

Do your research on a few of these:

  • Red Dye No. 3: risks to brain development in children, behavioral difficulties, increased risk of cancer

  • Red Dye No. 40: risks to brain development in children, behavioral difficulties, may contain carcinogenic contaminants

  • Yellow Dye No. 5: risks to brain development in children, behavioral difficulties, genotoxicity, may contain carcinogenic contaminants

  • Yellow Dye No. 6: risks to brain development in children, behavioral difficulties, may contain carcinogenic contaminants, potential increased risk of cancer

  • Blue Dye No. 1: risks to brain development in children, behavioral difficulties

  • Blue Dye No. 2: risks to brain development in children, behavioral difficulties, potential increased risk of cancer

  • Green Dye No. 3: risks to brain development in children, behavioral difficulties, potential increased risk of cancer

  • BHA: increased risk of cancer, hormone disruption

  • Azodicarbonamide: forms carcinogenic byproducts

  • Potassium bromate: increased risk of cancer

  • BVO: harm to the nervous system, the reproductive system, and thyroid hormone function

  • Propylparaben: hormone disruption and harm to the reproductive system

Overall EDCs can have adverse effects on humans and wildlife

  • Developmental malformations

  • Interference with reproduction

  • Increased cancer risk

  • Disturbances in the immune system

  • Abnormal nervous system function

What can you do??

  1. Choose organic when possible. This will not eliminate everything but reduce many of the worst offenders.

  2. Use ancient grains instead of those full of GMOs and pesticides.

  3. Use WHOLE foods with as little processing as possible.

  4. Add enzymes, fermented foods, essential oils, and supplements to fill your missing puzzle pieces.

  5. Avoid Teflon, plastic & aluminum -- Use cast iron, stainless steel & glass when possible.

  6. Make good choices regarding shampoo, toothpaste, lotions, and anything that touches your body. Look up ingredients before you cover your littles with anything.

  7. Knowledge is POWER!!! Knowing all the above gives you the power to make the changes that will suit your family. FEAR is not the goal.

What are some of the things you are doing to keep your cells clean and healthy??? Now, do me a favor and share this post. People do not know. They have no idea that the ingredients they use safely in their homes are causing all the chaos! We have answers!!!
